Pratibha
Hello! My name is Pratibha. It means light, intelligence and wit. Pratibha is a Native American name. My animal protector is an owl. An owl has wisdom, truth and patience. The Mescalero believe that owl carries the soul of the recently deceased, a death messenger. Owl is the totem of clairvoyant and mystics. I picked the owl because it’s smart, patience and tells the truth, which I’m the same. Also, because I might be able to see my dead grandmother’s soul and grandfather’s soul, since I never got to see them.
I first came into this world on November 27, 1991. I was born at the Georgetown Hospital in Guyana. I have a family of five that includes my dad, mom, two brothers and myself. My religion is Islam, which means I’m a Muslim. I’m the only daughter, which means I’m spoil. My two brother's each are eight years older than me. I came here when I was seven.
I have a lot of interests. I love to read books mostly mystery books, because it gets me to guess the ending and it is thrilling to read. Just like reading mysteries, I love watching Unsolved Mystery on the TV, because it gets me to guess what would probably happens next. My favorite sport is basketball. I love to come to school and learn and like to go to the library every Sunday. I like to do work on the computer and play games on the computer only on Saturdays.

My future plans in my life are firstly to get into Harvard University. There I will study law to be a Lawyer. I want to be a lawyer, because I want to bring justice to people. Finally, I want to buy a house and take care of two parents and help my two brothers.

I see my self as a tiger, because to me it means that I have a lot of courage and I am very brave. The tiger also means that we are big but we do have feelings that is why the tiger attacks. And I could be treated badly but that is why I get upset at people. The tiger is an animal from Asia, my ancestors were from India. When I see a tiger I see myself because I am very courageous, big, and very well mannered. I picked the tiger because I love to see the beauty, the tiger and me.
KANEONUSKATEW a Native American name, Means "one that walks on four claws" in Cree. This was the name of a 19th-century Cree chief. The reason why I chose this ‘one that walks on four claws’ because I would like people to see me as a strong big brave person I would also like people to treat me with respect and like the way I should be treated.
I am from Trinidad. The religion I practice is Hindu. My great grandparents migrated from India 100 years ago. The name Seujattan came from my great, great grandfather.
My personality symbol is a man because I am a man. The Native American symbol of the arrow will keep me from danger. The symbol of wise wattle eyes means medical.
What I do as my hobbies is playing soccer and I am learning how to play basketball. I always wanted to ski.
My future career is to be a physical therapist doctor. I would love to help people after they recover from surgery.

My favorite country is India, because I was born over there. The symbol that I chose I'm a man. My favorite things I like to do is to play basketball and

My favorite animal is Tiger, because they are really smart about attacking other animals for their food and I’m really smart at many of my school subjects.
When I grow up I want to be an engineer.
On my shield, my personality is represented by arrow, because I protect my sister and my brother when somebody bothers them. The arrow means that you are a protective person.

Sharma
My Native American name is Sharma. It is a Hindu name, because I am Indian. It means comfort, protection and joy. The animal spirit that I have picked was the tiger. It is graceful and majestic in appearance. To me what the tiger means I have strength, courage and the ability to do anything I want to achieve in life. I chose the tiger, because it's smart, noble and elegant. This is my animal spirit.
My parents are from Port Mourant, Guyana. I was born on December 1, 1991 in New York. I have one sister named Jessica. Guyana's national flower is the yellow lily. The Guyana Flag has 5 colors. They are Red, Green, Yellow, Black and White. I like my heritage country, because it tells me about my background, my religion and culture.
I am interested in a lot of things. Sports I like to play are Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball and Soccer. My favorite things to eat are pizza, hamburger, Indian food and Italian food. Blue, Red and Green are my favorite colors. Movies I like to watch are Troy, Mission Impossible, Daredevil, Bruce Almighty, Kal Ho Na Ho and The Cat in the Hat. My favorite Television shows are Friends, Will and Grace, Lizzie McGuire and Everybody Loves Raymond. Subjects that I like to learn are Math, Reading, Social Studies and Talent Class {Computer Class}.
I have a unique personality. Friends see a kind, generous person. My family see me as an achiever and a very smart individual. I see myself as a noble human being. My strengths are playing sports, trying hard at school and being a charitable person.
My future plan is to be a pediatrician, because I like taking care of babies who are sick. I want to live in an English house in West Palm Beach, Florida with a nice family. Places I would like to travel are Paris, California and Hawaii.

My Native American name is Dyani which means deer. In Native American culture, a deer symbolizes the birth date between May 21 and June 20. I was born on the morning of June 10,1991. The deer matches my character. I am sensitive, gentle, graceful, and kind. I help my mom with my sisters and around the house. It is also mentioned as a fast runner. I run fast. I am now 12 years old. I came America in December 1999. I live with my parents and two sisters.
My favorite colors are sky-blue and lavender. My favorite things to do are play basketball, read in a peaceful and quiet place, and listen to music. I love to travel to a lot of places and work in a garden. I am also an outdoors person and spend a lot time outside. I enjoy going to my talent and science class, because it has my favorite teacher named Ms. Greene. I also like taking pictures and playing with little babies.
On my shield, there is a picture of a sun. It means happiness. I am always happy for myself and for others. I make people laugh when they are sad. Another symbol that looks like a broken arrow actually means peace. I help my peers and sisters stop fighting and arguing. The crossed arrows means friends. I am very friendly and have lots of friends.
When I grow up, I want to be a heart-surgeon or any other kind of doctor. I want to save people from dying. I always dreamt to be a doctor. I feel people should live longer. That is what I want to be when I grow up.

Harman
I choose a cheetah as my animal spirit because the cheetah is fast and I am fast and light like the cheetah. I could climb trees and the cheetah can do it to.
I pick Honovi as my Native American name, because it means strong and it is a nice name.
My shield represents and defends me. I put my arrows in the center, because it means friendship as a way of Native Americans.
I put a symbol of the sun because it means happiness. I want everyone to be happy in my family and my friends.
My man with yellow hair is my best cartoon character. I watch it a lot and his name is Goku. His show is on Cartoon Network the name of the show is Dragon Ball GT.
I like to draw my own cartoon characters and this is one of my hobbies. I have many other cartoon characters drawn in my house.
When I'm 20 years old in the future. I want to be a very good pilot .

EarthWoman
My Native American name is EarthWoman, because I have a deep respect for the earth and wilderness. My favorite place is in the woods, where I can see, touch, and smell the richness of the trees, plants, and earth.

It was in the woods of the Catskills Mountains where I made my first contact with my first animal spirit, a deer. However, my main animal spirit is the wolf. While at a wolf preserve, I photographed some wolves. Upon leaving, I howled to them and they actually responded, thus establishing a communication with them. The wolf is the symbol loyalty, perseverance, and thought. Wolves are also regarded as a teacher, of which I am. I enjoy teaching. I have been a physical education, literacy, and now a technology teacher.
I am an African-Native American with a touch of Irish. My astrological sign is Libra, so I have a variety of interests to help balance my scales. The symbol of the Medicine Man's Eye represents one who is watchful, observant and as a result gains wisdom.
In the future, I would like to take a journey (the horse), traveling about the U.S. and Canada in a camper, photographing and writing about my travels. I also would like to be a writer of youth books, writing historical fiction and poetry.
